IDS International is seeking a Project Monitor for PWOs to support the “Total Maintenance Contract for the Kaiserslautern Military Community.” The Project Monitor is responsible for ordering and receiving site construction materials and maintaining accountability of all received materials. This position is contingent upon contract award.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for technical facilities management studies, estimates, bill of materials, and power optimizations as well as required energy efficiency studies in support of facilities maintenance and infrastructure
- Advise senior management on code compliant design policy for effective decision-making regarding maintenance strategies, issues, and optimal approaches to achieve customer satisfaction and contract compliance
- Conduct field studies and assessments to identify and correct power distribution systems problems as required
- Monitor functional area performance and ensure compliance with applicable codes, operations policies, procedures, standards, and regulation.
- Advise senior leadership of significant issues and advise trades staff for immediate resolution
- Collaborate with various functional areas to provide design and planning guidance for supporting project planning requirements as required
- Review and develop scope of work documents, compile data and write technical reports for existing/potential engineering studies and projects
- Oversee design, maintenance, repair, and operation of systems and supporting infrastructure if assigned
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Engineer Technician degree, Host Nation Meister Certificate or Foreign Country Equivalent.
- Documented five (5) years of experience in Project Monitoring of repair, maintenance, alteration and construction of buildings, structures and equipment.
Language Requirements:
- English and German at level 4 proficiency: At this level an employee is required to possess a high degree of proficiency in both written and spoken English, including the ability to translate the host country language into precise and correct English, and English into the applicable foreign language. On occasion, an employee at this level might be expected to act as an interpreter in situations where considerable importance attaches to proper word meaning.
Computer Skills:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
