Job Description
IDS is seeking a Senior Operations Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support Mission Command Exercises. The selected candidate will provide operational expertise, support exercise planning and execution activities, and contribute to mission command training requirements through extensive Special Operations Forces experience.
Key Duties
• Support Mission Command Exercise planning and execution activities.
• Provide subject matter expertise based on Special Operations Forces experience.
• Support exercise development and coordination requirements.
• Contribute to operational planning and mission command training objectives.
• Assist with research, preparation, coordination, and execution of training events and exercises.
Requirements
• Secret clearance.
• Associate degree. Fifteen years of related military experience may substitute for academic degree.
• Graduate of the U.S. Army Special Forces Qualifying Course (Officer 18A, Warrant Officer 180A, or Noncommissioned Officer 18 Series Military Occupational Specialty).
• Graduate of a U.S. military officer’s Intermediate Course or Senior Service College, Special Forces Warrant Officer Advanced Course, First Sergeant Course, or Sergeants Major Course.
• Assignment to Special Operations Forces (Special Forces, Psychological Operations, Civil Affairs, Ranger Regiment, Special Operations Aviation, Special Mission Units), or assignment to Military Intelligence, Logistics Corps, or Field Artillery.
Preferred Qualifications
• Two years of experience researching, planning, preparing, coordinating, and executing MRXs.
